Description

:iconsonicwaveplz: Hey Guys! Jspeed384 here to say... don't look now but hey, It's me! :dummy:

Anyhoo. Yes, here he is, my Sonic-sona/OFC, formally known as, J the Hedgehog. I'm so happy with how this came out, this drawing, or should I say picture, was in development nearing the end of 2013 all the way to now, so you can imagine my excitement finally uploading this and showing you guys. ^u^

Okay, so, about the picture...

I've been wanting to draw J's new upgrades since I developed the idea for the new quill/hair style he has now. And after I saw Xssys put so much into drawing him in her three pictures, I thought I should finish this. Note though I came up with his style and everything as I developed him into what he is now on my own, but I'm pretty sure you knew that already, hmm? >uo

Anyway. This took me a pretty considerable amount of time to detail touch up and shade honestly, and I'm very happy with how the shading came out. Getting into this whole shading business was a very good idea, it's very satisfying to look at since I can't bring color to my artwork yet. But soon, very soon I'm sure. -u-

Another thing I like about this is how much all the white areas pop out and how the overall detail I put in looks. I also, if you hadn't noticed, tried making the design patterns contour with the clothing, so as to give the clothes a realistic feel. And the bit of hair over his right eye is a little less, well, awkward looking then before. But I'm very happy because of how the whole outfit came out in the shading of it, and it feels like a very huge accomplishment to finally finish this after so long. And believe me, it was pretty tedious... ^u^;

Y'know, looking at how much J's evolved from his past design, it's pretty crazy. I mean, it also shows how much I've developed in my skill and changed the way I see things in creating my drawings. It also shows how much the skills and tips I've picked up on the way from many of my friends has paid off in time... I can't wait to see, Lord willing, what my skills will be like in the future if I keep practicing... 9u9

Huuh, anyway. Simple stance is simple, overall detail I think is great, and the shading really balances everything out honestly. But I wanna know, what do you think of this depiction that I have created of my character, J? Feedback would be much appreciated really. It honestly helps me to do better with my artistic skills, and improve upon them. ^u^

Welp... I, guess that's all I have to say... Thank you for looking, I really appreciate you guys taking your time to view this, it means a lot honestly. -w-

Thank you! (^u^)
